Multinational Veolia Environmental Services adopts turnkey solution provided by CTZoom Technologies Inc.
CTZoom has been awarded a major contract by Veolia Environmental Services to equip the multinational’s Montreal and Quebec City offices with CTSpec sewer management and analysis systems. The agreement includes setting up the solution, training personnel, providing after-sales support and supplying the PortaZoom camera and mast, as well as several industrial computers and CTSpec PDA-enabled manhole analysis technology.
Thanks to CTSpec software, Veolia will be able to transform its Cues, Inc. trucks, which are already equipped with mobile cameras, into fully digital inspection units, complete with CTZoom’s proprietary project synchronization technology. In addition to supplying the necessary hardware and software, CTZoom will oversee the in-house migration of the organization’s current databases so that all the information collected over the past two years is uploaded into CTSpec. In the short term, CTSpec software will enable Veolia to accelerate the analysis process and capitalize on cartographic links to Autocad or Arc View to optimize project management and produce themed maps that pinpoint defects in inspected facilities.
In addition, this agreement will have a major impact on the management of sewer systems for municipal clients that have multiple-year contracts with Veolia. Quebec municipalities that have already signed with Veolia will see their public works, engineering and asset management departments upgraded to the CTSpec system. This will enable them to manage inspection data from any source and work directly with the results of their analyses to develop their own master plans.
